Landscape Installers Needed

Open positions for Landscape Installers to assist with beautification of a roadway project in which trees and plants of varying types will be installed. Landscape installers will install trees, flowers, shrubs and ground cover according to overall design, utilizing best horticultural practices. Landscape Installers are responsible for adhering to the safety plan at all times and maintaining a professional image at all times. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Must be able to:

• Perform installation of trees and plants with a team of 3-4 co-workers.
• Understand English to follow directions and communicate on a base level with supervisors and co-workers.
• Arrive on time to work and have reliable transportation.
• Think ahead and complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Perform manual labor with a shovel or rake or other hand tools.
• Handle equipment with respect and keep in good working condition or report for repair.
• Maintain constant safety awareness and brings any unsafe situation to the attention of Supervisors.

Qualified candidates will be trained on planting procedures and safety. Candidates with no experience may qualify for On-The-Job Training Program.

Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of field experience in new construction landscape installation, a working knowledge of landscape equipment, and experience with working as a team.

Experience with tree and shrub plans, fertilizing, tree staking, palm staking and landscape bed layout and mulching a PLUS.

Experience with operating or hauling construction loaders or skid steers a PLUS with more pay. 

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, reaching, climbing and lifting for prolonged periods of time, lifting and carrying 50 pounds, and working with hand tools, power tools, and other hand tools.
